A Generous Remnant Can Do More than a Stingy Crowd
The church will survive
Life feels shaky. Everything is changing — even the church.
America has weathered severe storms in years past — racism, protests, tornadoes, hurricanes, and massive crime. In all this, the church was once a safe place.
Places of worship are atmospheres of peace and tranquility. Worship is a door to inner peace.
Church is the place where we can set aside all our troubles.
Distancing from our troubles is helpful, even if it’s temporary. But attending church is less popular than ever. Church attendance is down and the pandemic added to the decline.
Recent research found that around half of U.S. adults who attended church before COVID-19 hit are unlikely to return to church right now even if public health officials deemed it safe.
There is a remnant
Thank goodness for the die-hard saints. These are the faithful, the few, the church marines. The committed church goer is a vital part of the church being able to survive this season.
